Toccara Jones is most recognized from her appearances on America’s Next Top Model where she was a contestant on the third season successfully winning several of the “Covergirl of the Week” awards. Her success on America’s Next Top Model launched her modeling career and she was signed by Wilhelminia Models as a plus-sized model. Born in Dayton, Ohio, Toccara Jones attended the Stivers School for the Arts majoring in dance.
Toccara Jones’ modeling career has been quite successful with cover photos appearing on Be, The Next Level Magazine, Black Men and Black Hair. She has also modeled for recognizable brands such as New York and Company, Ashley Stewart, Avon and Target. Toccara has also appeared in a number of runway shows and was selected for the 2007 Rocawear line of plus-size clothes for the “I Will Not Lose” campaign. Further, she was photographed for the all black issue of Italian Vogue.
Her success in modeling led her to many appearances in television including on the Tyra Banks Show and as a guest judge on America’s Next Thick and Sexy Model. Later, she appeared on VH1’s Celebrity Fit Club and the spin-off Celebrity Fit Club: Boot Camp, where contestants from earlier seasons compete against each other. Also for VH1, Toccara Jones appeared in the Celebrity Paranormal Project (2006). In addition to these television appearances, she was also a host on BET’s The Black Carpet and its game show Take the Cake.
